Message on a Diaper

Buy a box or two of diapers before the shower. Have sharpies available for the guests to use. Allow guests to write messages to the expectant mom or dad on the diapers. Give the diapers to the mom to take home. These little diaper messages may brighten mom's or dad's day (or middle of the night) during all those diaper changes that happen when baby arrives. Example messages: "Smile! It's 2 AM!" "I told you not to let me eat Mexican food." "It's Dad's turn!"

The permanent marker will bleed onto baby and clothes when wet. Not worth it. We had to throw away a lot of diapers unfortunately.

I've done this game at a few showers now and it's always been a success and not once did the markers bleed on any of the babies' clothes. I'm willing to guess the previous poster used crayola markers which are washable, so any wetness and yes they'll bleed. Duh. Use permanent markers people and you'll be fine.

Write messages on pieces of paper that will be found inside the diaper by the parent when they go to use it.

This sounds like a great idea...and as far as the marker bleeding onto baby's clothes when it gets wet...just use permanent marker, and use it on the OUTSIDE of the diaper!!

My sister did this for me, however, when the diaper gets wet, the marker bleeds on the baby's clothes. Cute, but don't actually use the diapers.

This is so cute and can be a great way to uplift the new Mom and Dad after some long sleepless nights. Going to use this at the shower I am throwing for a friend at church!
