This is such a delightful baby shower gift basket! Making your own gift basket can be an art, and looking at the gift basket photo above, they can turn out SO CUTE! Gift baskets are loaded with baby essentials and are such a huge help to an expectant mother. AND they add such a bright and festive feel to a baby shower.
Deb submitted her plush baby shower gift basket and her awesome instructions that she used to make it. AND the thing that really makes me beam with admiration is the fact that she made it a year ago, since then came upon this website, and wanted to share with others how she made it. How sweet and thoughtful is that?! It is readers like Deb who put the A in Amazing! Deb is "paying it forward" and making this world a better place by sharing her time and talents with the rest of us. Deb, thanks a million for your considerate and helpful ideas! Your baby shower gift basket is so PRETTY!

It has been over 1 year since I made this for my niece and will try to remember how I did it as I did not follow any directions from anyone . . just did on my own. Everyone was amazed and I was very proud of it. I found this website and wanted to share with others.
I took 1/2 large green Styrofoam ball (flat side down) to fit in the size of basket I chose. I used double sided tape to put it in bottom of basket with the flat side down (by using the tape she could reuse basket). I used a circle of felt to cover the foam and tacked with hot glue around bottom to not show through. Took a pair of scissors to snip "x" for holes in felt for all the sticks of roses to be inserted into ball.
I did socks in the "rolled like a rose" directions on other cake photos submitted. However, I also added (4) bibs located more to back of basket and (5) onesies that were just rolled like a log. I bought one of the sample gift kits of lotion, powder, shampoo etc and taped them on sticks and also inserted into basket. I cut out green felt for leaves and wired them to sticks. I glued the blue ribbon all around and on top of handle to match the bow I made for the front.
